If the issue is more complex (e.g., a hacked site causing the lockout), we'll explain the scope and additional cost ($75/half hour) before continuing. A temporary $199 authorisation is placed. This is only captured if work proceeds.
Usually not. If you're locked out, your password isn't working anyway. We'll typically need hosting access (cPanel, Plesk, or SFTP/SSH) to access the site at the server level and restore your login. We'll tell you exactly what's needed.
No. Restoring login access doesn't affect your site content, pages, posts, or media. If any plugin needs to be disabled to restore access, we'll re-enable and reconfigure it once you're back in.
If during the diagnostic we discover the lockout is caused by a compromise (changed passwords, injected admin users, etc.), we'll let you know and explain the remediation scope before continuing. The $199 diagnostic still covers the initial investigation.
